Early Start

Today started out great by 8:30 we had two Canadas and one Blue Bill in the boat and we thought the day was just beginning however, after the Blue Bill we saw no more birds.  Looking for some birds to push in this week with the cold front moving through on Thursday.  Hoping the migration will begin soon.

First Signs of Migration

Got out early this morning heard snows flying while we put out decoys, had ducks working right away this morning before legal shooting time.  The reef we had in front of the blind moved down river so the water in front of the blind was fast and the decoys would not ride as well.  We had ducks take looks but would not commit since the water was so quick.  We saw lots of ducks early gadwalls, blue bills, wigeons, and teal.  Canada's were moving today too but, none of the big bunches came over.  We finished the day with 3 Canada's and green wing teal.  It was definitely apparent more ducks pushed in yesterday and hopefully they will continue to push in today.
